What does it cost to join?
Nothing! Proboards is absolutely free!

Do I have to be invited to join?
No! You can join, whether you know someone on here or not. You don't have to get an invitation.

How do I get an avatar?
We have a selection of default avatars for forum members to use. If you don't want one of those, you can upload your own 100x100 avatar, using http://photobucket.com or another image host.

How do I get a siggy/signature?
For a picture signature, it's the same as the avatar. Only with the signature size, no more than 400x600 pixels.
If you want a text signature, use the UBBC code.

Can I use real photographs?
Only if: 1. You ARE the photographer, or 2. You have the photographer's explicit permission. Otherwise, no.

Can I use -insert favorite anime/cartoon- screenshots?
No. It's copyright infringement.

Can I use someone's art?
No. Not unless their art was a commission from you, or a gift to you. You cannot use others' art unless you are given permission.

Too bad! I'm using it anyway!
Sadly, if you do that, I'll have to ban you, report you to Proboards, and the artist. Don't do it.

But I don't have a picture!
Draw it yourself. Seriously. Or request it done, or commission a picture.

Can my character exceed the height limits?
No. The only way you can do that is to have special permission from an administrator, or global moderator. If you do not have permission, I will ask you to lower the height. If you fail to do that, I will delete your character.

That's not fair!
What's not fair is someone trying to powerplay. Read the Rules.

How can characters can I have?
As many as you can keep up with.

Can my character be a high ranking -insert whatever it is-?
Roleplay it out with someone who can give you the rank. You can't just ask for a rank and recieve it.

Can I kill someone's character?
Only with their permission. Some people have become attached to their characters. However, there are some circumstances in which you can kill a character without the consent of the player. These include: a large scale battle, in the Dark Army bases.

Can I be a mod/global mod/admin?
No. I give those positions as I see fit. If you ask, I can assure you that you won't get it.

Can I have a shapeshifter character?
Yes; they can only have three forms, though, and that counts for magic. You must have a weakness, too, for each form.

Can I make a vampire/werewolf character?
Yes; they must have a weakness, though. Like allergy to silver, or they can't walk in the sunlight.

What's a Sage?
Basically a male witch.

What about elves?
Sure, there can be elves.

What colors can my character be?
Any color at all. Lime green, purple, pink, whatever.
